Steering head bearings

I've used that method on other bikes, but if you have the wrench why not use it  - you get a more precise feel..

Maybe I'm missing something, but I've always used a punch and/or screwdriver
and a hammer to tighten down the steering head bearings....

That's wierd somone must have ripped off the original..
Could you put the wrench on a grinding wheel and grind the outside down?
