Sticking clutch on 96 GPZ 1100

Les,
This is not an uncommon problem at all. The easiest way to avoid this
is to roll the bike a few feet and work the clutch while doing it
which will free up the plates. Mine will clunk into gear a litte hard
if I don't do this, but after rolling it a little it drops right in.

I woke up the GPZ on Sunday and took it out for it's first ride of the
season. It fired right up on it's five year old battery thanks to a
tender and a liberal dose of Sta-bil in the gas. I guess it was mad
at me for waiting so long as the low beam decided to burn out, so I
stopped by NAPA and picked up a new BP1210/H4 80/100 watt bulb ($10.62
cents) for it and will change it out this weekend.

It looks like my Durango trip this year will be on dirt bikes as I
made reservations for the last week in June at the Red River RV park
in Silverton and will haul my pop-up camper, WR450 and my daughters
TTR125 down for a week of riding in the mountains. I've been wanting
to do this for several years and it's time. I just wish I could get
the Geeper down at the same time for few days of riding, but that will
probably have to wait until the end July when I'll have another week
to take off of work. :-)
