The one at the dealer had a bad CDI and they couldn't get a replacement part from the factory at all, so they had to have a new bike shipped in from Italy. For my inconvenience, they offered me any or all accessories (racks, GIVI cases, tank bags, etc.) for dealer cost. I got them all and rode the bike for over a year and was impressed with it a LOT. It did everything very well and some of my very experienced riding pals in the Pine Barrens agreed. But all the press pix show riders standing up and when you can see the seat, you know why. The TA was comfortable enough for all day on the pavement. The T7 looks really competent as a large dirt bike (kind of like the KTMs), but I think it would need a seat upgrade to be a great all-rounder. IIRC, I sold my TA because it lacked enough power to feel competent on the GSP and NJTP, where I had to ride to commute to work. The Tiger was great for that purpose but was a handful off-road. (Remember riding through that logged-out area enroute to the train tunnel and through the boulder garden by the powerline?) Milt On Sun, Aug 29, 2021 at 11:45 AM J. The guy was sort of fishing around for my age but couldn't ask directly. I had gone back to UConn to get my degree in '92 so it implied that I was much younger than I really was. I finally leaned over and said, "You're trying to guess my age. Let me just say that I'm closer to 50 than I am to 20 and let it go at that!" He smiled and assured me that it wasn't a problem. Of course, I was 68 at the time so my observation was technically true. I got the job. I'm now 76 and still out riding dirt and street bikes. *You don't stop riding bikes because you get old, you get old because you stop riding bikes!* J.
