Not cheap but it was the best $$ I've spent on a bike. Totally got rid of the squishy ride and the ugly dive when hitting the front brake. Much better handling in corners on the street and much more confidence in the dirt. The only problem is that I didn't realize how blown out the rear shock was until I got the front upgraded. That will be a project for the winter.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">J.</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Mon, Sep 30, 2019 at 10:42 AM Adam N. <<a href="mailto:taxonomy@gmail.com">taxonomy@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div>I've been riding with a couple of guys with more modern ADV bikes. Other big ADV bikes seem similar. The big ADV bikes like the Tiger just make more power than I want. I've never taken the TA someplace where power was the issue getting though. All that stuff, the traction control etc. is nice on the road where these bikes are mostly used. The traction control is a bit nuts. You can dial it in so you slide the rear just enough to look a hero leaving every corner. </div><div><br></div><div>The little 650 GS seems like a very handy little bike. The TA is also vintage, weird, a Honda (so it works). As scared as I am of breaking unobtainable plastic I am not sure I'd be wanting to go where I have gone with a $20,000ish motorcycle. </div><div><br></div><div>In the end a lot comes down to what kind of tires you have.
