If your database is backed up you shouldn't have much to fear. You can stop
it, reboot and try to open BC. It is likely that it is the installer that
is broken, not the program itself. This has happened before.

However, if you have not backed up the database and it is corrupted, then
you have a problem.

Before you go any further I'd go to the Garmin Forums to see if anyone else
had this issue, and how it was resolved. I don't know if the database can
be extracted manually, but others might.

Chances are, all is well  but check before you stop the installer.
