[BaseCamp] Webinar & Webex

Webex allows a presenter to share their computer screen with others via an
Internet connection. It includes audio conferencing ability so that the
presenter may talk and the other participants my listen. Optionally, the
non-presenting people may also talk and be heard in the audio portion.

There are TWO things you have to do for this conference: Join the video
conference, join the audio conference.

When you join the Webex video session in your browser, it allows you to see
the presenter's screen. The Webex software also will prompt you with
instructions to join the audio conference, which is done either by
telephone or your computer's built-in speakers and microphone (VOIP.) I
recommend using a telephone, as it is the most simplest and most reliable
method. Use VOIP if you are have limited minutes on your phone plan, or are
overseas and have issues dialing the numbers. (There should be a separate
link that lists all the global numbers.)

I have been asked if it is required for you to have Basecamp running on
your own computer, and your GPS plugged in. This is not necessary. You will
still see and hear the presentation via the Webex. You certainly may follow
along on your own computer, but I recommend this only if you have two
screens (or two computers.) You will want to dedicate one screen/computer
to the Webex, and the other for your own Basecamp.

We will be accepting questions, and possibly allow the questioner to assume
the presenter role, and share their computer screen with everyone on the
conference to illustrate a problem. So if you ask a question, be prepared
to share your screen. Get rid of the porn. :)

Hopefully this explains it. If not, feel free to ask more questions.
Jerry
