[BaseCamp] GPS Not Following Computer Route

OK, I admit I did not take notes the day this was discussed, I thought I
understood...but I don't.

I can build a route in my computer using the latest City Nav Map Set in the
computer and my Zumo 660. Then I can upload the route from the computer to
the Zumo 660. I can check the route on the Zumo 660 and it follows the
computer route as designed. I can check it at all the critical areas and
the Zumo 660 shows that it follows the route in the computer.

Now I can install the GPS in the car or bike and run the route and at
certain places it will deviate from the original computer route and the
original route that was in the Zumo 660 before I left home.

The GPS seems to change the route after I start using it. I haven't tried
to simulate riding the route to determine if it will follow the route or
deviate at critical points on the route due to the time it would take due to
the length of the route.1055 miles.

When I simulate riding the route in the Zumo 660, can the speed be increased
like BaseCamp does in the computer?

I seem to remember someone pointing out a way to make the GPS follow the
route in the computer but I can't remember how it was done. If someone has a
suggestion or a way to solve this problem assuming it can be solved or
corrected, please let me know..I am listening!!

If I left out any critical information, please let me know.

Carroll
