Just dropped $601 for 7 months of basic coverage for this riding season.
 
That is 43% off (max. discount) for being accident/claim free!.. 
 
My yearly rate for basic coverage this year $1618, less my 43% discount
would be $890 for the year.
 
If I want additional coverage for fire, theft, comprehensive and collision
it would be another $600 plus!.. 
 
This reality really puts the damper on purchasing a new bike at $10,000 to
???? and feel I have to do the extended coverage and would be paying $1400 +
each season for 6, maybe 8 months of entertainment.  
 
As a reference..  My car, a 2002 Honda Accord.  Full coverage, comp/coll,
fire, theft, etc. etc...  is $1400 for the entire year.  That is with the
same 43% discount.  If I ever lose this, I will be walking!..
