Bob,
Some like them but I didn't care for them at all. First, the sidewalls are very stiff (meaning they were a real PIA to mount) which translates into a stiff ride as well. The Pirelli's I run are MUCH more compliant and ride significantly better than the BT021's. I didn't have any issue with side grip, they never let go on me, even when ridden very aggressively on the street. Steering was a different matter. You needed quite a bit of effort to initiate a turn and going side to side required a Herculean effort. Everything is relative of course but with my Pirelli's reinstalled, the bike is light and nible handling, even for a GPZ. The mileage also sucked, the front tire was toast after only 4k miles and the rear didn't have many more in it. My riding style may not be the best guage for tire life as most get considerably more miles out of a set than me.
