That would be typical BMW - why make something simple, when you can make it more complicated and expensive..

"Don't know about the GPZ, but I replaced the spark plugs on my BMW 
today. 
 Really weird, they had four side electrodes instead of one. 
Replaced
 them with more normal Autolites. "
