Need info on buying a bike for my 19 y.o. son preferrably 250 cc less than $1,000.00

Cool, Ron!

I second what the other guys have said in that the Ninja 250 (or even the
500) are great choices, as long as they fit his frame.

To keep it cheap, you may be able to find a Honda Nighthawk 250. It's a
bit more substantial than the Ninja and, depending on his style, he may
prefer the naked/standard look... Of course, the drum front brake on it
SUUUCKS, so scratch that!

A $1000 SV650 is a red flag  to me... Why so cheap? is a question you need
to ask yourself. Great bike though, if it's not trashed!
