So how long did the GPZ last model year wise in Europe?  Did they make a fuel injected version ?

I had returned to biking after a 15 yrs layoff. I wanted something that wasn't going to frighten the hell out of me and would be good two up. After a year riding it and thoroughly enjoying it I got a need for speed and salty british winter roads are not very kind to all that chrome.
To be honest I wish I could of afforded both at the time as the I don’t think the mrs has forgiven me for selling it.

I wouldn't hesitate in buying another but would probably go for an EFI rather than carbed model. There are a couple of known issues with the D and E models that were fixed on later ones.

The early suzuki VL1500 are basically the same bike. I think Suzuki went their own way after 98.
