I just got this from my brother about my nephew, Ken. He's a smaller framed guy 
like myself.
I'm not sure what he was riding. updates to follow.

Ken was in a head on collision with his motorcycle on Friday Sept. 14.  He was 
very fortunate.  He broke his pelvis, right two and right wrist.  He had two 
operations; the first was to insert pins, screws and a place into his pelvis and 
toe, the second to put screws into his wrist.
 
It looks like the idiot who hit him has very little insurance, if any.  Ken got 
injured when he struck the car who turned in front of him giving him no chance.  
No braking.  He hit the car and flew and tumbled 42 feet where he landed in the 
road.

On a better note, one of my students rides a R1 sweet bike, for sure, I guess 
the bigger bikes are an elusive club. They prowl around without plates because 
they are over-sized. The cops won't even try to catch you if you have over 
500cc.
