We've got the same year model Chuck. Your's probably isn't scuffed up like
mine. Did you get luggage (that looks like 1980's portable TVs attached to
the bike ).
I did add a center stand that was a bitch to install. Actually the stand is
a breeze to install its the 2 springs that are the bitches.
I like the upright riding position better than the asphalt surfing position.
If you plan to ride it on dirt roads I would suggest you get Karoo or TK
tires for it.
Good luck with it. I've found it a nice ride.

Well, I might as well chime in here. I have crossed over to the Zook side as
well. Bought a 2003 1000 VStrom last week. Damn glad I did. Fun ride for
sure.
Selling the KLR and the Venture to pay the freight. Talking with lots of
folks the last few days. Glad I don't have to sell used bikes for a living.
Anyhow Scaps, if you do get back up here this summer, we will ride together
again. Only not so slow as last time.
