GPZList Digest, Vol 71, Issue 4

Fuel actually lasts longer in storage in an airtight container when mixed with oil because it lowers the flashpoint of the fuel and becomes less volatile. You just have to be sure to shake it well before use. I have had chainsaw fuel last over 8 years with no issues.
