You sure its slipping? When you wack it open in a high gear does the revs go up disproportionly?
IIRC if its well bled - it does disngage as you described.
I know some of you run sythentic but I know of others that have had problems. You don't need it unless you can't be bothered to change your oil every 3000miles. The engine should outlast the rest of the bike on dino.
