Boots

Hi:
The soles on my riding boot are as smooth as a baby's bum and traction 
on sloped intersections is getting testy.  I've switched to steel toed 
insulated work boots for now.  The large steel toe does not make for 
smooth shifting.
My brother in law was over on the weekend and had a pair of 8" 
Original Swat water proof boots. They are extremely light and should 
be durable.  They don't have an extra shifting patch.   Have any of 
you tried these for riding?
