Happy New Year to all and I hope this finds you well.
Like Mike says is chilly here in the Ottawa Valley. We have -26C (-8F) 
with a 40 kph (25 mph) wind giving us a wind chill of -30C (- 22F).  
You don't want to be leaving you brass monkeys outside these days.
That's nice little cabin you're building Alex.  Show us your completed 
project and I may have another for you.  I bought an acre lot on the 
river that has an 80 year old 9 meter square (28' x 28') log cabin 
with a 3 meter square (12' x 12') kitchen tacked on the south east 
corner.  Unfortunately the cabin has been neglected for a 1/4 century 
and 30% of the logs are rotten.  The lot is covered with white cedar 
that can be used to replace the rotting logs.  I've got a couple of 
chain saws and 1/2 dozen axes.  You feel up to a challenge Alex?
This week we are packing up and closing the house.  I expect to be in 
FLA with Lizca Monday January 12.  Well actually I'll be on the gulf 
side in Cape Corral and I think Lizca is on the ocean side.
