Pete,
I bought a 96 back in the fall of 2013. A 72 YO University professor in my neighbourhood had it and it was calling out to me.
One of my bikes needs to go next spring as I recently got into boating with a 30' diesel express cruiser. Too many machines to insure and maintain.

I am finding out where the term spending "money like a drunken sailor" originated from. The sailor was wasting his money because he owned a boat not because he was drunk.

Like Charles I guess that most riders on our latitudes in the northern hemisphere are hibernating; however, here in DNK I could actually still have been riding. Unlike in the US our winter has been exceptionally mild until now. Some areas have seen a bit of snow, but where I live we still haven't seen a single snowflake. If it wasn't for the occasional salt on the roads and the hibernating insurance the riding season would still be on :)

Happy new year 11111011111!

We had green xmas, then white new year and over the weekend we nearly drowned in rain - and when everything was slippery and wet, temperatures dropped below 0?C to make things more fun (having the snow melt over the day and freeze over after sunset is the worst..).

I've in the meantime started a very entertaining project to construct a small log cabin in my garden ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gHCrRG7PZu4KDbRaYb4OATDqJWydWP241wOcIsJYjQA/edit?usp=sharing
for the ones who are not scared of german..) after taking a class in summer. As long as it does not rain I can play with that ;)

Well, don't want to brag but down here in FL it has been exceptionally warm.
As a matter of fact, Vero Beach my home town has broken nation hot record a couple of time these past weeks with upper 80 degrees so I have been riding on a daily basis.
Me and my 95 "Hot Red" GPz1100  want to wish all and every one of you a good and healthy 2015 and many miles to come!

Happy New Year to all and I hope this finds you well.
Like Mike says is chilly here in the Ottawa Valley. We have -26C (-8F) with a 40 kph (25 mph) wind giving us a wind chill of -30C (- 22F).
You don't want to be leaving you brass monkeys outside these days.
That's nice little cabin you're building Alex.  Show us your completed project and I may have another for you.  I bought an acre lot on the river that has an 80 year old 9 meter square (28' x 28') log cabin with a 3 meter square (12' x 12') kitchen tacked on the south east corner.  Unfortunately the cabin has been neglected for a 1/4 century and 30% of the logs are rotten.  The lot is covered with white cedar that can be used to replace the rotting logs.  I've got a couple of chain saws and 1/2 dozen axes.  You feel up to a challenge Alex?
This week we are packing up and closing the house.  I expect to be in FLA with Lizca Monday January 12.  Well actually I'll be on the gulf side in Cape Corral and I think Lizca is on the ocean side.

Hi Jim, yes I am in the Ocean side but only 3 hours away.  It is a beautiful ride across the state. How long will you be down here?  We will be sailing with my daughter the BVI from the 10th to the 18 but after that I would love to meet you guys.  Please let me know when you are settled in and you are more than welcome to come over to the east side or I will ride that way.  My husband is 4th generation FL "cracker" and although he does not ride motorcycle, he has shown me beautiful back roads to ride that I would be glad to take you if you have your bike with you down here. Hope so!

Like Mike says is chilly here in the Ottawa Valley. We have -26C (-8F) with a 40 kph (25 mph) wind giving us a wind chill of -30C (- 22F).
You don't want to be leaving you brass monkeys outside these days.
That's nice little cabin you're building Alex.  Show us your completed project and I may have another for you.  I bought an acre lot on the river that has an 80 year old 9 meter square (28' x 28') log cabin with a 3 meter square (12' x 12') kitchen tacked on the south east corner.  Unfortunately the cabin has been neglected for a 1/4 century and 30% of the logs are rotten.  The lot is covered with white cedar that can be used to replace the rotting logs.  I've got a couple of chain saws and 1/2 dozen axes.  You feel up to a challenge Alex?
This week we are packing up and closing the house.  I expect to be in FLA with Lizca Monday January 12.  Well actually I'll be on the gulf side in Cape Corral and I think Lizca is on the ocean side.
