I didn't get any specific information on bike renting sites, but my 
friends in the area tell me that bike rentals are quite common and that 
it shouldn't be difficult to find one. Try and google the word 
motorradvermietung (bike rental) and add a city, region or country in 
the Alp region. Most of the region, including north Italy is German 
speaking or at least familiar with German. The western part, like 
western Switzerland, France or NW Italy will be French or Italian 
speaking. I don't have any keywords in those languages though ;) Last 
year a friend of mine rented a KTM Adventure at this shop in 
Bischofshofen in Austria:

This particular web site is in German language only, but if you use 
Google Translate you should be able to get most of the information.
