Last weekend I installed the replacement ignition coils, put in a new battery, and topped up the oil. It’s been two years since I’ve had it registered. I took it to the courthouse and got my tag, and it ran like crap, still. I was thinking too hard when I thought the a coil was going bad. I put in a new set of plugs and all is well! Still a bit of lean stumble at 4700 rpm, but not bad. I had to control myself on my spin this evening, risking a speed award several times. I don’t know if I could ever sell this bike...

Congratulations on getting her back on the road, Paul.  All the work I did
on mine this spring has paid off and it's running great,  I'm taking it to
Sturgis in August, last time I went it was 21 years ago on the GPZ and it
was the first summer I owned it.

Very nice Paul!  CONGRATULATIONS!
My GPz is also in stand by now.  I started working as a flight attendant for Spirit 2 years ago and have not been riding much so my Road King is just collecting dust but the Kawi won't even start :(  I actually took the carbs out twice and got it running but it sat again so I have to do it all over.  I WILL get her running this summer and ride it.  Thought about selling her but I cannot let her go.  It is really an amazing bike not to mention that been a girl riding it, definitely turn heads ;) so she will stay with me forever.
I'll let you guys know how it goes and would love to meet you sometime and ride together.  Come down to Florida for Biketoberfest!  By then heat and hurricanes will pretty much be gone :)

Congratulations Paul :) My GPZ has never been put aside for more than a
winter at the time and she has acknowledged this (I think) by never running
rough or anything. Never had to take the carbs off for cleaning. A couple
of weeks ago she passed another magic number: 200.000 km (124.300 miles)
and she's running as smooth as ever :)

My fast red96 just past 42thousand kilometres. Just broke in.
Great White North riding season shorter than winter.

I still regret letting my '96 go. I didn't want to sell it but this guy wanted it so bad I let it go for a lot more than I had paid for it. Big mistake. He wrecked it within a week.

The red old angry lady is fit for use and I take her out every once in  a
while for a ride (110'000 km...). The difference to the Africa Twin is a
pure pleasure, on the other hand I don't get how I made the loooon trips
without the comfort of a higher windshield (though my back never hurt on
the geeper).
My wife has started to ride and got a F750GS (BMW), which is a very fine
piece of mechanic.
