GPZList Digest, Vol 173, Issue 4

For reference, I (sadly) sold my '96 a few years ago, still in excellent 
condition with 106,000 repair-free miles on it.  It had heated grips, 
Helibars, Zero Gravity screen, full Givi racks, and so forth.

What with the odometer reading, I was only able to get US$1500.

Seller's regret set in nearly a year later and I attempted to contact 
the buyer to get it back, to no avail.

Interestingly, it was still on its second drive chain, a DID X-ring.  It 
had 58,000 miles on it and was still within length specification, ran 
silently, and had no kinking.  PJ-1 Blue Label for that win.

It was the smoothest-running motorcycle I ever had excepting the 
six-cylinder Gold Wings, and even then, not by much.

It's current-day replacement, a '99 Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird, is doing 
a fair job of assuaging the loss, and runs very nearly as smoothly as 
the ol 'ZX did while making a fair amount more power and speed.  The 
Kawasaki was more comfortable as the Corbin it had was vastly superior 
to the stock Honda seat and it rode more smoothly, compared to the 
Bird's very stiff 175-mph suspenders.

Plus the Bird is black as was the GPZ.  Very homey.
