She starts and dies

The geeper has been resting for a looooooooong time in the garage. I hooked up the battery to a good charger so she started immediately.
Runs on choke, revs up, I pull out the choke, give a bit of throttle and off she goes. Pattern repeats – she starts, revs up, choke out, a bit of throttle – engine dies.

I added some fresh fuel, that made everything better but still, without choke she goes off.

Any hints?
