From godfreydigiorgi at me.com Mon Aug 26 13:42:11 2019 From: godfreydigiorgi at me.com (Godfrey DiGiorgi) Date: Mon, 26 Aug 2019 13:42:11 -0700 Subject: [Sheepranch] A motorcycle for sale. Message-ID: Okay, I've been thinking about this for a few months now, told a few folks at Tuesday night dinner around the beginning of August—now I make it official. I'm retiring from motorcycle riding. I feel good about my riding history, was devastated when I had to get off the bike in 2004, have been totally elated and happy to get back on in 2017 and re-learn how to do it. I feel confident and happy riding now, and my Racer is everything I could ever want in a motorcycle. I love it when I'm riding it. The issue is simple: I no longer have any motivation to ride. When I want to be on two wheels, which is every day, I prefer to ride my bicycle. Motorcycle riding has run its course, and I'm content with that now. Still love to watch the racing, still enjoy the machines ... "For every thing there is a season..." My riding season is over. (Never mind that today is also my birthday and I pass into yet another year of my antiquity. It's all good. I figured it would be a good day to make the public announcement... ]:-) So, without further ado, Racer is up for sale. I'll list it on the GuzziTech site and on Craigslist within a day or two. But if anyone on euro-moto is interested, well, I thought you'd like to hear first. --- 2017 Moto Guzzi V7III Racer #0096 for sale! photo link: https://flic.kr/p/266gseK I'm selling my Racer. It has the following modifications from stock: - Kinesis tubeless wire wheels fitted with Continental Road Attack III radial tires - EVAP and SAS disabled - Agostini exhaust silencers fitted - Custom engine map fitted, tuned perfectly to the engine configuration (GT-Rx ECU Tool VIN-locked to the bike is included in the sale) - Front number plate replace with DART "Piranha" fly screen - Rear number plate/seat cowl removed (both the front number plate and seat cowl are included in the sale) - CRG bar end, folding mirrors fitted - A fresh AGM battery with higher capacity and better cold cranking amps fitted (A 1.25A Battery Tender is included in the sale) - The OEM Öhlins rear suspension units have been fitted with higher rate springs (for those who weigh more than 160-170 lbs …) - The front forks have been fitted with a full Matris cartridge suspension kit, allowing precise dual adjustable suspension damping and preload adjustment. The spring rate is tailored the same as the rear springs are. - The front end geometry has been quickened by lowering the clamps 10mm for better stability and steering precision. - The fuel tank cap has been replaced with a lower profile, polished aluminum screw in cap (stock keyed/locking cap included in the sale). - The OEM leather strap for the tank has been removed (it scratches the paint due to its poor fit and rough rear surface; it is included in the sale). The upgrades to wheels, tires, and suspension are about a $4500 added value to the stock V7III Racer when installed new. Additionally, the sale includes a front wheel ride-on stand, a lightweight dust cover, a front disk lock, and the Moto Guzzi accessory dual seat. Total mileage is currently about 4400 miles. The bike runs and handles beautifully, is an absolute joy to ride. Title is free and clear; I paid cash for the bike new from the dealership. It also has a transferable (I believe) 5 year extended warranty. Asking $8800 complete as is or best offer. Contact me in the usual ways … :-) (The upgrades to ECU, wheels, tires, and suspension are about a $4500 added value to the stock V7III Racer, and are very worth it!) --- More when, G — No matter where you go, go there on a Guzzi.
