I need to do my final shopping run (soon!) for the make-ahead items.
Assuming a pasta night, I’m happy to make the pesto as long as I do it today (it keeps well, actually gets better...). Is pesto good for all the veggie heads? I don’t think anyone is vegan, right? And no pine nut allergies? I will make extra for others that might want it, but it won’t be enough for the entire group.
If we don’t get other Saturday night volunteers, and we keep to pasta night, we can always buy pre-made marinara type sauce and supplement with ground beef, rather than someone having to slave for hours making a sauce from scratch. Throw in some good crusty bread and/or garlic bread, a salad or two, and your done! Oh, and wine! I have a 1.5L bottle of what I hope is a decent Cabernet to add to the mix.
Even the non-cooks can do this! :-)

We have willing hands. Build on these ideas and let's get a shopping list together for Friday afternoon. I don't expect anyone to shop on Saturday or Sunday. I'm willing to go to the store if someone will drive a vehicle that can transport bags of groceries.
