Sorry to hear you had that "encounter".  Hope you heal quicker than you
expect to.  A Pine Barrens riding buddy years ago did the same.  He now
calls deer tall rats.  We have herds of then around here (Lewisville, PA).
Sometimes coming home at night, we have to wait for them to get off the
driveway.
