I still regret ever selling my moonstone TA. I had 2 white ones after that

Stay a while and listen.....

The picture was taken (via timer) at Kathy John’s restaurant in Storrs Ct. the plan was for the four of us to meet there and follow J to the campground to meet all the other rally folk. From left to right is J Braun, myself, Jay Stevens, Steve Wang (from CO) I kept in touch with Steve for awhile after the rally. Steve sold his TA years ago, and like so many others regretted it. Unfortunately his email was only in my old work laptop. 

I believe Adam now has Milt’s old Moonstone.

+Steve Wang was not at the first rally. He met me here (in PA) and we rode to the (2nd.?) rally from here. Kevin didn’t show up at the first rally until after dark that night.

The picture was taken (via timer) at Kathy John’s restaurant in Storrs Ct. the plan was for the four of us to meet there and follow J to the campground to meet all the other rally folk. From left to right is J Braun, myself, Jay Stevens, Steve Wang (from CO) I kept in touch with Steve for awhile after the rally. Steve sold his TA years ago, and like so many others regretted it. Unfortunately his email was only in my old work laptop. 

I believe Adam now has Milt’s old Moonstone.

Visiting you and Beth (thanks for the Christmas card) is still pretty constant on my radar.  Eddy is hiding out pretty secure up on his mountaintop in Morgan Hill, so may not want to come down yet, but I want to come out and ride with you.
My two daughters are out east, in CT and PA so reading your Tanx stuff keeps me thinking of that venue, too.
How are you guys doing?  Toys and pets all good?

My brother had a Trail 90 in college. He loved it.  Said it would go anywhere.  Glad to see the Trail 125 in the Honda lineup today.  With ABS no less.

We are pretty lucky in our little farm/ranch community. Only 13 deaths so
far for the entire county and not many hospitalizations. We have a row of
mountains between us and Salt Lake City. Seems to be working in our favor.
Two Africa Twins, a Transalp, and a CRF250 Rally in the garage. Everyone is
invited to come out and play. You can ride the original Pony Express trail
all the way to the Nevada border or go all the way to Sacramento if you
want. Right from the house! If you get Eddy out here he can ride the black
AT he sold me.
Moab will be mobbed once the lockdowns end so I suggest either early spring
or next year for that. Beat the crowds or wait until they go home.
A couple of buddies and I are meeting in a couple of weeks to start
planning a rally out here. I'll keep you posted.

I only waited 6 years to find mine. They are relatively rare.

Barber Vintage Days is a good place to start. There was a very nice RD04
there as well but divorce lawyers are so expensive. I bring my bikes home

Karl is in San Jose. The picture is a couple of miles from my house in
Utah. I'd be happy to host a Western Rally if somebody wants to organize a
road trip from the east and west coast.

I rode my TA across country on US 50 a few years ago and it was more than
up to the task. The best part was that I didn't need a map or gps. US 50
goes from Ocean City MD to Sacramento CA. Much more authentic Americana
than Route 66.

 I am coming, one way or another!  Loneliest Highway across Nevada from Lake Tahoe?  Yeah great idea.
I have some great pics of J and Jay on a Yosemite trip, with Eddy and I from here, but that backyard pic J sent is just asking to be ridden.  Eddy may have better ones from previous west coast trips.

We are pretty lucky in our little farm/ranch community. Only 13 deaths so far for the entire county and not many hospitalizations. We have a row of mountains between us and Salt Lake City. Seems to be working in our favor.

Two Africa Twins, a Transalp, and a CRF250 Rally in the garage. Everyone is invited to come out and play. You can ride the original Pony Express trail all the way to the Nevada border or go all the way to Sacramento if you want. Right from the house! If you get Eddy out here he can ride the black AT he sold me. 

Moab will be mobbed once the lockdowns end so I suggest either early spring or next year for that. Beat the crowds or wait until they go home.

A couple of buddies and I are meeting in a couple of weeks to start planning a rally out here. I'll keep you posted.

There is a campground in Ocean City that is right on the beach. You can dip
your tires in the Atlantic to start and dip them in the Pacific at the end.

The road through West Virginia will make you think the Tail of the Dragon
is for wimps. Stay at the KoolWink motel in Romney WV. Great people and a
nice place to spend the night. https://www.koolwink.com/

Mom's Cafe in Salina UT is a required stop for all bikers.

If you have time let me know and I'll show you some cool places in the Moab
area

I'll be passing by not too far from KoolWink on my trip this spring. If time allows I'll stop by. Thanks for the tip. We are pretty lucky in our little farm/ranch community. Only 13 deaths so far for the entire county and not many hospitalizations. We have a row of mountains between us and Salt Lake City. Seems to be working in our favor.

Two Africa Twins, a Transalp, and a CRF250 Rally in the garage. Everyone is invited to come out and play. You can ride the original Pony Express trail all the way to the Nevada border or go all the way to Sacramento if you want. Right from the house! If you get Eddy out here he can ride the black AT he sold me. 

Moab will be mobbed once the lockdowns end so I suggest either early spring or next year for that. Beat the crowds or wait until they go home.

A couple of buddies and I are meeting in a couple of weeks to start planning a rally out here. I'll keep you posted.

p.s. Have you done the tail of the dragon? I have. Twice. And the Cherohala skyway multiple times. I know you've been to tellico plains in TN so you have an idea of the area.  Ive ridden many of the mountain roads in the general area. And yes, there are roads as good if not better in the area. This is a great area for a bike. Love it here. Ride on.

Yes - US 50 through WV has a lot of steep grades with tight twisty turns.
Think of a blind hairpin at the bottom of a long hill and you can imagine
how easy it would be to overcook the turn and visit the trees up close and
personal.

Great fun but you want to stay alert.

Once each year we remind folks how they can send gifts for the upkeep 
of micapeak.com, which powers this mailing list, assorted Web sites and
