This mailing list was created by private parties in the mid-nineties with the approval of the Airheads Beemer Club and although the AirList is not a part of the ABC, it is hoped that everyone who joins the AirList will also join the Club. The purpose of the AirList is to celebrate ownership of BMW boxers with Type 247 and earlier engines through fellowship, good cheer, and camaraderie by sharing boxer technical info, product finds and reviews, questions, short stories, trip reports, event and gathering info, and other riding and boxer related topics of general interest to readers of the AirList. It is not for spamming, flame wars, personal exchanges, etc..... This list is intended to be a high content, low noise, friendly place to post. Please lurk and read a few messages before posting to get a feel for how it works. When you post a message to the AirList, please use a subject that clearly and concisely describes what you're talking about. AirList messages are archived for later subscriber access so clear and appropriate subject lines make data searches much easier. Only post messages that can benefit the group as a whole as opposed to just speaking to an individual. Please don't post idle chatter. Using Airheads
To post a message to all the list members, send email to airheads@lists.micapeak.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Airheads
Subscribe to Airheads by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your full name:   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
