Professional and amateur photographers are encouraged to post the best photographic image they've taken each week to a URL, soliciting feedback from other forum members. The intent is to improve the photographic skills of the photographer and the critics. The moderator reserves the right to ban subscribers who incite ad hominem attacks. We want to keep the discussion of the list useful and enjoyable. Please do not post attached files of any kind to the list. If you have something like a picture or an executable that you wish to share, store it on an FTP server or a web page and post a URL to the list. PAW is configured to automatically reject posts with attached files. Once subscribed to PAW, to post a message send an email to: paw@micapeak.com Please configure your mailer properly: The list server software is designed to handle the sending of only simple TEXT messages best. - Do NOT use "QP: or "Quoted Printable" options. This is a sneaky and usually-ineffective way some mailers use to slip in PC text characters. It just makes regular mail look ugly when read with a mailer (like elm) which doesn't understand QP. - Similarly, if your mailer includes the ability to generate HTML output, TURN IT OFF. HTML output is usually sent as an attachment along with a simple TEXT version and adds unnecessary (ugly) junk to the digest form of the list. Nearly all HTML files are automatically rejected by the list server. - Avoid using colors, fonts and other fancy features supported by your mailer. If you want to make an elegant presentation, do it in a document that you post to a website. Jeffery L. Smith is the PAW list owner/administrator. That's the first person you should contact if you're having a problem with the list or the list server. Godfrey DiGiorgi is also available to assist with problems. Carl Paukstis does the list server administration behind the scenes. Both pay to keep the list running with blood, sweat and tears, not to mention a considerable amount of time and effort. Subscribing to PAW
Subscribe to PAW by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
