If the OP is making the route in BaseCamp and it is longer than 1800 miles
or so, strange things happen when it is transferred to the GPS.

The unit cannot fully process a route of this complexity, so it does the
first half, or so. Then, as you ride the route, it keeps recalculating
until it can get to the end.

During this period all of your apparently missing waypoints should appear.
