[BaseCamp] viewing route thru Google Earth

Thanks for the immediate responses! I thought you were on to something...
my GE and Pro were 7.1.4.1529 with a build date of 3-10-15. So I now
have GE and Pro as 7.1.8.3036 with build date 1-17-17. I closed
everything. Ran CCleaner. Restarted my laptop. Opened BC. Selected my
route. Launched GE Pro. Went back to BC and tried to view the route using
GE, but go the exact same error message. BC insists that GE is not
running. Thoughts?

Steve Bracken, when you say "I re-installed from a web-link I found that
addressed the issue historically. It was a command line input, presumably a
Registry Fix." what was it that you re-installed -- Google Earth? If so,
did you uninstall the version you had on your computer before
re-installing?

I didn't uninstall, I just Googled how to update GE and was lead to this
URL: https://support.google.com/earth/answer/168344?hl=en&ref_topic=4487463

When I downloaded the latest version, it just seemed to replace the old
version because when I clicked on my destop short cut icon, and opened GE,
it showed the 1-17-17 version not the 3--10-15 version.

Unfortunately, BC still can't tell it is running.

I don't like auto installers, so doing it manually is not considered a
problem in my book.
