[BaseCamp] can you determine in which folders various POIs are kept by viewing MY COLLECTION?

If you go to the bottom of the left hand list you'll find a folder called 'unlisted data'...I believe that is the folder for orphaned way point, routes etc...

That appears to be what happened, then. The Folder got deleted enmass by the computer glitch but some of the waypoints/POIs didn't go so willingly and are hanging around in MY COLLECTION.
The lesson I learned through all this isn't about how BaseCamp works, but rather that I need to do backups more often.
