She starts and dies

Re carb cleaning, BTDT 2X in the 26 years I've had my '96 GPz. It would have happened more frequently if I wasn't so religiously dedicated to adding StaBil to every tankful of the E10 garbage fuel that passes for gasoline these days.

The pilot cleaning is the easy part. In my experience, the most finicky part of reinstallation is getting the two inner rubber airbox boots and circular spring retainers back onto the carb intakes. If you need to curse while doing this, I'll understand and am available to discuss if you need guidance, reassurance, or simply someone to curse with.

Good luck,
Bill in Yardley, PA

When it's inconvenient I curse in English.
Nuisances are commented upon in German.
When I curse in French, you might get electrocuted when being too close..

It will be a nice project getting them out and cleaning them. Have some special words ready for when you reinstall them. And be sure to attach the fuel line before you mount them. I wish you luck.
