[BaseCamp] How do I join routes?

This is excellent advice. I find that the GPS unit doesn't like complex
routes. Two things create complexity: Many waypoints and many turns. You
could have a CC50 route with one waypoint that's 2400 miles away, but
that's still a complex route because you have interchanges in the major
cities and a long turn list. It's fine to use Basecamp to create a complex
route, but break it up before loading to the GPS. That's why everyone
always advises point-to-point routing during a rally - so your GPS doesn't
munch your route at an inopportune time.
