[BaseCamp] Proximity and Selection

Those are two different things. Proximity alerts in the GPS are what you
just said, Greg. They are programmed into the GPS using the POI Loader
program, not Basecamp.

Proximity in Basecamp is what Joe said. It draws a circle around a
waypoint. Answering Joe's question, I don't believe the proximity circle
can't be used to select waypoints. It's just a visual aid, and you still
have to use the pointer tool to select waypoints on the map.

These are my understandings of how this stuff works. Hopefully someone will
chime in if I'm wrong.
